What's In a Purple Playas Coping Kit?

Every Purple Playas Coping Kit™ — built alongside nurses, child life specialists, educators and families who live this every day — is packed full of medical and educational tools to help children with feelings, calming their body, problem solving, and understanding and coping with their medical care. Every single item has a purpose.

Three Kits Built Just for Kids

Each Coping Kit shares the same core tools. What’s different between them are the age-appropriate feeling wheels and the Brave Heart pins (a clip pin for babies/toddlers vs. lapel pin for older kids).

What's Inside Every Kit

Puffy stuffed character with an “I am Brave” pin tucked in his pocket, a storybook, a journal, a fidget spinner pen, a cape, bandages, ice/warm pack, a grape lip balm, a pinwheel, an age appropriate feeling wheel, Tucker Turtle/coping choices wallet cue cards, and problem solving/solutions wallet cue cards. Supplemental Bravery Badge Stickers are also available — adults can place them in Puffy’s pocket to encourage kids for their accomplishments and acts of bravery.
